Last Tribes Angola supports the construction of boreholes in remote tribal
communities, food donations when there is scarcity due to droughts and the
preservation of the material and inmaterial tribal heritage.
In 2016 Last Tribes Angola team in Lubango brought 4 sacks of rice and cereals for
the San community of Chomipapa and donated a plow so that the San community
could improve their crops.
In 2018 we recorded the last songs in Cuepe language in Curoca Oasis so that the
new generations of Cuepe people would not forget their ancestral language
(VIDEO).
In 2022 Last Tribes Angola restored 2 Plain Muila traditional huts in the village of
Kamuviu.In 2022 we started collaborating with 4 Plain Muila women and one man from
Kamuviu village so that they could recover the tradition of fertility doll and wooden
head-rest production to sell to foreign visitors.
In 2024 an eco-lodge project will be presented to the local authorities and tribal
leaders in Oncocua to boost responsible and cultural tourism in the region.
The eco-lodge project will be accompanied of 2 waterhole projects to benefit the
Tua and Cuis communities living in Oncocua.
