This expedition is a measured, open-air exploration of Africa’s most formidable coastal desert. Navigating the hyper-arid expanse where the northern Namib Desert meets the Atlantic Ocean, this route combines 4x4 desert travel with a sea passage across the Bay of Tigers to step onto one of the continent's most isolated ghost islands. Beyond the physical geometry of dunes and ocean, the expedition ventures inland to the Oncocua basin, observing how nomadic pastoralists and hunter-gatherers adapt their social structures to endure one of the dryest environments on Earth.
